Lord Electro announces SDK for WWP
Bits and pieces about WWP -@idBoxx First,
some of you may have noticed a stunning feature, mentioned in the
following line: "To this end, a wealth of weaponry
including bazookas, grenades and shotguns are on offer,
although adverse weather conditions can affect the trajectories of
projectile weapons, creating a game of genuine skill. " This is
taken from the press release and just bring our mood up, doesn't it?
Second... release date. Late november for DC users, 30th of November.
Third and last but not least, the price. I've heard everything between
£12 and double the quids. This is most defenitly where it will
be, but if someone have more exact info, I'd be pleased if you mailed
me (wormscenter@lindholms.com). See ya.

For the next few weeks, at least, updates
to this site will unfortunately be limited to press releases and new
WWP screenshots. I'm currently working on something BIG for WWP.
Something different. But you'll all have to wait a few weeks for that
one. I'll keep you all posted with all the lastest Wormy goings on as
best I can, but please be patient! However the future is bright.. WWP
is looming, and goodness knows what else to keep you all entertained!
But for now I'll sign off and get on with the job in hand. Have a good
'un, Worms. APJ

Team 17 joins the Dreamcast elite! Worms World Party allows Internet
play including real-time chat... Team 17's Worms World Party is set to
become the first European developed third-party online game to allow
Dreamcast owners to compete across the Internet. The pioneering
Wakefield developer has successfully integrated an online mode into
the Dreamcast version of its eagerly anticipated arcade/strategy
title. The online game will allow Dreamcast owners to pit their
four-worm armies against those of three rival Worms fans from anywhere
across the globe. To facilitate this, Team 17 is also developing a
dedicated web area, wherein fans can exchange tips and goads within a
chat room environment and take part in battles within designated
Beginner and Expert zones. Players are also invited to represent their
home country in order to introduce a little friendly rivalry to each
battle! Worms World Party marks yet another huge step forward for the
Worms franchise, sales for which now top over five million units
across an array of home systems. Players control each of the four
worms individually as they lead them into battles across a variety of
missions and a number of dedicated Online locations. The basic idea is
to use whatever weapons come to hand to eradicate the rival worms
factions in a stunning variant of the 'Last Man Standing' theme. To
this end, a wealth of weaponry - including bazookas, grenades and
shotguns - are on offer, although adverse weather conditions can
affect the trajectories of projectile weapons, creating a game of
genuine skill. Worms is a genre in its own right, and Worms World
Party is the most ambitious title in the series to date. It is the
perfect tonic for Dreamcast owners just aching to make the most of the
Sega console's online capabilities - and is ready to wow a new legion
of fans on its release in November. Debbie Bestwick of Team17
commented... "We are absolutely delighted to announce that the
on-line side of WWP is up and running and even more so that the
on-line play is absolutely superb with hardly any lag time whatsoever.
The development team, have been working around the clock to ensure
that this happens in time for a Christmas release so that players all
around the world can unite in a Dreamcast Worms World Party!"
Worms World Party is released for Dreamcast in November. APJ
